Commemorative Signs Recognize a friend or loved one on the spectrum! $100 will honor your loved one on a commemorative sign. The sign can include photos and words of encouragement for them or a special message about them from you. All signs will have the ASA-NV & Walk for Autism logos and the date of the walk. About UsStarted in 2004, the Walk for Autism-Virginia, began as a way to help families with loved ones on the autism spectrum. We are a group of mothers and fathers, and other loved ones who are deeply committed to helping our children achieve the most meaningful lives possible. We come from many different backgrounds. But we have one common goal, which is to help improve the lives of our children.We are so lucky to have committee members who have been a part of this team for the last 5 years, since the Walk’s inception. Those members share their experience and knowledge freely. We are also happy to have new faces joining our committee each year. We have a variety of talents that we use to pull the team together. We are a program of the Autism Society of America-Northern Virginia Chapter (ASA-NV). Become a VolunteerWe are an all-volunteer organization looking for interested individuals to serve on our committee. If interested in becoming a committee member, send an email to [email protected]. This is a great way to get to know other parents in the community who also have children on the spectrum.
