Commemorative Signs

Recognize a friend or loved one on the spectrum! $100 will honor your loved one on a commemorative sign. The sign can include photos and words of encouragement for them or a special message about them from you. All signs will have the ASA-NV & Walk for Autism logos and the date of the walk. Individual Walker

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2009 Walk for Autism – Virginia which will provide funds for autism treatment to local families. This year’s event features improved communication with you including a monthly e-newsletter and expanded event information available 24/7 at this site. There is no registration fee to register as an individual; however we encourage Walk participants to raise money for autism treatments. All registered participants will receive a free t-shirt! Individuals who raise $200 or more receive a car magnet.

Registering as an Individual Walker – this is anyone who is walking by themselves. When you register, be prepared to provide a fundraising goal. It’s simply an estimate, and you will not be held to it. You will receive a registration confirmation by e-mail.

After you register, you’ll want to visit Firstgiving.org where you will find online tools to help you raise money to support the Walk for Autism – Virginia which provides mini-grants for autism treatments. Through FirstGiving, you can create messages to send to your family and friends and track your progress.

Every person participating in the walk MUST be registered, including infants in strollers.
